The Dermatology and Venereology Department of Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province) is a clinical department integrating medical care, teaching, and research. Established in 1991, it is the strongest dermatology specialty in southern Hainan. The department serves as the Chair Unit of the Sanya Medical Association Dermatology Branch, the Sanya Dermatology Quality Control Center, and the Sanya Venereology Quality Control Center. It is responsible for diagnosing and treating common, frequently occurring, and complex dermatological and venereal diseases in the southern Hainan region. With advanced medical expertise, meticulous specialized nursing care, and state-of-the-art equipment, the department adheres to the philosophy of "building a brand-name discipline, serving patients, and improving scientific and educational standards" to provide safe, convenient, and efficient medical services. The department currently has 10 staff members, including 8 doctors (2 chief physicians, 2 associate chief physicians, 3 attending physicians, and 1 resident physician, 4 of whom hold master’s degrees) and 2 nurses.
