Established in 2010, the TCM Department provides specialized services for common diseases, complex conditions, and chronic disease rehabilitation. It currently has 23 beds and 1 outpatient clinic. The department employs 3 TCM physicians (2 senior professional title and 1 intermediate professional title) and 15 nurses. Equipment includes pulse wave velocity analyzers, blood glucose monitors, diabetes treatment devices, bedside hyperbaric oxygen chambers, insulin pumps, multiparameter monitors, defibrillators, bedside ECG machines, diagnostic beds, treatment carts, pulse pillows, acupuncture tools, cupping sets, and massage beds.
The department admits approximately 1,000 inpatients and treats 10,000 outpatients annually. It specializes in conservative TCM treatments for common geriatric conditions (e.g., COPD, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and cerebral infarction) and certain cancers. Adhering to the principle of "TCM as the foundation, supplemented by Western medicine, and integrated TCM-Western medicine approaches", the department combines traditional TCM therapies with modern diagnostic technologies. It actively engages in research, publishing multiple papers annually and promoting best practices. The department also focuses on health management, providing personalized TCM nursing, rehabilitation, and health guidance services, and implementing "Quality Nursing Service Demonstration Projects".
