It has continuously advanced the informatization of hospital pharmacy administration. The hospital is a pioneer in southern Hainan to achieve intelligent prescription review. Information operations have been realized in prescription and medical order review, pharmaceutical care, pharmaceutical consultations, the use reminder and restriction of antibacterial drugs and adjuvant drugs, and drug classification management, implementing the concepts of scientific, dynamic, and refined management. Currently, it is actively implementing the application of a refined drug management system in our hospital, realizing traceable management of the entire drug process, greatly reducing dispensing errors, and improving work efficiency.

Efforts are underway to develop home-based pharmacist services, integrated medical pharmacy clinics, and specialized medication clinics for specific diseases.
It promotes the construction of the pharmaceutical laboratory and pharmaceutical research work. The pharmacy laboratory is developing projects such as therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and genetic testing to support personalized medication. Currently, the hospital offers folic acid genetic testing to help pregnant women adjust folic acid dosage and timing effectively. Plans are in place to expand TDM for immunosuppressants, antiepileptics, antimicrobials, and antipsychotics, enabling precision and personalized medication. Over the past five years, the department has secured 4 provincial and municipal research projects, 1 provincial science popularization project, and published over 10 core scientific papers, including 5 SCI-indexed articles.
