Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province) Laboratory Department is a modern medical laboratory integrating medical, educational, and research functions. It is a key discipline cultivated by Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province). Occupying an area of 1800 m2, the department has complete hardware facilities with fixed assets exceeding RMB 60,000,000 and conducts over 400 testing projects. It is the largest testing department in medical institutions in the southern part of Hainan Province. The department includes specialized subgroups such as clinical basic testing, clinical biochemistry testing, clinical immunology testing, clinical microbiology testing, and clinical molecular biology testing. It is equipped with top-of-the-line large testing instruments and high-quality testing professionals to provide timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical testing services.

The laboratory department is a vibrant team mainly composed of young individuals, with 39 professional and technical staff, including 1 chief technician, 11 deputy chief technicians, 15 chief laboratory technicians/physicians, 12 laboratory technicians/physicians, 1 master's supervisor, 6 master's students, 5 practicing physicians. It shoulders the clinical internship tasks of the Laboratory major of Hainan Medical University, Hunan University of Medicine, and multiple colleges' Laboratory majors.

Adhering to the quality policy of "accurate, efficient, fair, and satisfactory," the laboratory department continuously strengthens laboratory quality management. In recent years, the participation rate in national and provincial inter-laboratory quality evaluations for testing projects has reached 100%, achieving excellent results. We will continue to strive for the goal of achieving "first-class service, quality, and management," constantly promoting the application of new technologies and projects in clinical settings.
