Our Interventional Department is the first department in the southern part of Hainan Province to conduct interventional treatments. In 1993, it pioneered right heart catheterization in the province. Based on this, the Center Catheterization Room was officially established in 2002, leading the way in various cardiovascular interventional diagnostic and therapeutic technologies in the southern region of Hainan Province. In 2004, it was at the forefront in Hainan Province to perform endovascular stent graft implantation for aortic dissection, reaching advanced levels nationally. In 2007, it was the first in the southern part of Hainan Province to carry out emergency PCI surgery. Starting in 2008, the Catheterization Room separated from the Cardiology Department and became a first-level discipline in interventional treatment. In April 2009, the department successfully completed the first case of interventional closure treatment for ventricular septal perforation after acute myocardial infarction in Hainan Province, reaching an advanced level nationally. In May 2009, it performed the first case of stent implantation for renal artery stenosis and lower limb artery stenosis in the southern part of Hainan Province, achieving good clinical outcomes. In August 2009, it started independently implanting dual-chamber pacemakers. In December 2009, it completed the first implantation of an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) in the southern part of Hainan Province. Currently, the department has 8 technical staff with senior professional titles or above, 12 with intermediate titles, 1 supervisor nurse, 4 nurses, and 3 technicians. Projects currently underway include interventional diagnosis and treatment for coronary heart disease, electrophysiological examination and radiofrequency ablation for arrhythmias, pacemaker implantation, structural heart disease intervention, valve disease intervention, cerebrovascular disease intervention, peripheral vascular disease intervention, interventional treatment for malignant tumors and hemorrhagic vascular diseases, and more.
