On December 13, Professor Yu Mengqiang's team from The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Professor Li Gang's team from Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province) officially signed the "Internet + Neurosurgery Alliance Agreement between The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Sanya Central Hospital" and the plaque was awarded. It is reported that the "Internet + Neurosurgery Alliance" is a medical consortium led by the Department of Neurosurgery of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and participated by the specialized departments of hospitals with cooperation intentions across the country. The purpose of the alliance is to integrate medical resources, establish a working platform for close contact, information sharing, and experience exchange among neurosurgery specialties, promote the standardized hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, care, education of neurosurgical diseases, and carry out science popularization activities and multi-center clinical research.
The Department of Neurosurgery of the Second Xiangya Hospital is a well - known neurosurgery specialty at home and abroad, known as "South Xiangya". It is a Grade A tertiary comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. In the China Hospital Ranking of Fudan University, its comprehensive strength ranks 13th in the country at best.
