On March 4, The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province was officially transferred to the management of the Sanya Municipal Government and renamed "Sanya Central Hospital," while retaining its original name, "The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province." This marks the transition of the formerly well-known Hainan Nongken Sanya Municipal Hospital.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Zhou Guoming, Deputy Director of the Hainan Provincial Health Commission; He Shigang, Vice Mayor of Sanya Municipal Government; Yang Rui, Member of the Organization Department of the Sanya Municipal Committee; Wang Guoping, Director of the Sanya Municipal Health Commission; and representatives from the Sanya Municipal Finance Bureau, Sanya Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Sanya Municipal Establishment and Staffing, Sanya Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Sanya Municipal Health Commission, PLA General Hospital Hainan Branch, Southern Theater Navy Second Hospital, Sanya Municipal People's Hospital, Sanya Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Sanya Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital, as well as members of the Sanya Central Hospital leadership and mid-level management. The ceremony was held on the first floor of the Science and Education Building at Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province) and was presided over by Li Yunkai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sanya Municipal Government.

Yang Rui, Member of the Organization Department of the Sanya Municipal Committee, announced the appointment decisions for the Party and administrative leaders of Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province). Comrade Chen Zhong has been appointed as the Party Secretary and President of Sanya Central Hospital (The Third People's Hospital of Hainan Province). Comrade An Feng has been appointed as Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union, Comrade Tian Zuochun as Party Committee Member and Vice President, Comrade Lin Ling as Party Committee Member and Vice President, and Comrade Li Zongbao as Party Committee Member and Vice President.

Since it transitioned to the management of the Health Commission in 2016 following the agricultural reclamation reform, the hospital has experienced rapid development and achieved outstanding results, leading the province in various aspects.
